DJ Rob Faust
Faust began making his saucy mark on the local DJ scene in the 90’s through the One Yellow Rabbit and Green Fools Theatres. After a chance encounter with Sideshow Sid, they quickly discovered their mutual musical genius, and were the first to launch all night Funk’n’Soul events in downtown Calgary. Instituting “Electric Company” on CJSW, Faust went on to start and establish two more ‘decidedly vintage-flavored dance nights’ at Hifi and The Bamboo Tiki House. Both nights showcase Faust’s passionate belief that disco, soul, breaks, House, and a little bit of funk-fuelled mayhem can all meld together in one synonymous night, rooted in the past, but with a dedicated nod toward the present and future.

“It’s all inspired by Loft parties in New York, in the early 70’s, they had it all, bands, soul, disco, a ton of funk, anything that would inspire movement. I guess I’m basically combining what I think it might have been like, with the vision of Amsterdam clubs I went to when I spent summers there in the 80’s, where teams of dancers would take the stage and lose their s*** for James Brown, dancing up walls… ”

Whatever the motivation, Rob Faust has been bringing the best out in Fridays and Saturdays, for years – accessible without cliché, and underground without the clique. We can’t wait to hear Faust break out the flavor, the best of the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and make the dance floor go crazy for those who appreciate the finely-aged beats of our time!

DJ Pasta
Legendary in his own right. Pasta has played every epic venue, every epic party since the early 90′s. This man needs no introduction, and will let his skills speak for themselves.
